Back to Mendoza for the second time

When I arrive in Mendoza, I realize that the engine leak that has been present since Santiago is now more important and so I decide to take the car back to the garage of PP. Fram. For many reasons, this breakdown will force me to stay in Mendoza for a month and this is why I would like to thank Hostel Savigliano for not chrging m for the length of my stay. The leak turns out to be only an o'ring in the oil radiator; I'm relieved even though we had to dismount the engine twice.

In the meantime, I make the most of it to reunite wiht my friends. Vincent who I met in Bariloche, comes back from Santiago to follow the H2 Project and its official photographer. We go and see Arturo playing rugby. Vincent introduces me to Celeste, a mendocinian who speaks perfect French and with who we'll spend some time; she invites us to a barbecue with her family at their week-end house. She will also take us to see the Tupungato volcan but unfortunately on that day a violent wind blows the dust around and prevents us from having a good shot.

We meet Willy, a nice chap who's travelling around South America and has a blog for his parents: I love it!
We are invited to PP's birthday(31/05) and Elise who has joined just the H2 Project team, show her true nature… Cheers Elise!

Then I have to take a difficult decision: dump the company that I previously contracted to buld the website in Buenos Aires. The delay in achieving it now too important. I will now spend my nights and days to build a new website by myself; the first trials with Wordpress are encouraging.

After numerous visits to the workshop, I mention to Gonzalo the possibility to join us in the adventure. After hesitating he agrees.

I decide the date of departure. With everyone on-board I think useful to buy a roof-case. We have a last meal with the family Fram and Barrasa: barebcue in the garage. The following day, the car stops in the idle of the street in Mendoza just a couple of hours before departing. Gonzalo and PP spend their time on the new breakdown. On the 04th of Jube, the car is eventually ready and even grand-ma gives us a hand. I enjoy this atmosphere where eveybody tries to participate, contribute in his own way. We leave at 20.00.. Just 10 hours late. It doesn't matter, the main goal was to leave which is always difficult. From now on, we can travel at cruising speed. 100km further away we stop at Upsallata, the background scene for the film "7 years in Tibet" by Jean-Jacques Annaud starring Brad Pitt. We'll find it the next day, the scenery is really awesome.
